# Change or Swap an Exercise

## Here’s how to swap an exercise while keeping its details intact.

**💡 Before you begin**

Program editing takes place in the Builder tab. If you plan to edit a PLT4M program, you must first [create a copy.](https://knowledge.plt4m.com/knowledge/how-to-edit-a-plt4m-program?hsLang=en)

### To change or swap an exercise:

1. Navigate to the **Builder** tab and select the program you'd like to make changes to

2. Locate the exercise you want to change and choose **Edit**

3. Select **Change exercise**

4. Search and select the desired exercise and click **Save**

5. Click **Save exercise** to save your changes
