How to Launch a PLT4M Course from Canvas
Step-by-step instructions for teachers to launch their PLT4M course directly from Canvas once the integration has been set up.
The PLT4M and Canvas integration supports:
- Class Pairing — Connect Canvas courses with PLT4M groups and automatically enroll students in the corresponding PLT4M group.
- Deep Linking — Add links to PLT4M programs and content directly within Canvas courses.
Launch a course in PLT4M
- In Canvas, navigate to your desired course.

- Within the Course, select the PLT4M app. The App may appear in the course menu or sidebar navigation, depending on your Canvas settings.

- When you encounter this screen, Click Setup PLT4M for this course. This step automatically registers the course and it's members in PLT4M.

- Once redirected to PLT4M, click into Rosters—you'll see that your Canvas course now exists in PLT4M. The students in your course will be automatically registered in PLT4M.

Assign a Program to your Group
- In PLT4M, navigate to Rosters and select your newly created group. Within your group, click into the Programs column.
- Click to expand program options, then select the program(s) you'd like to assign.

How to Deep Link a PLT4M Workout or Lesson
Please note: in order to link a PLT4M assignment in Canvas, you must first assign a program to the group in PLT4M (see above).
- In Canvas, navigate to your desired course.
- Choose Assignments.

- Select +Assignment

- Fill in assignment details and select External Tool as your submission type, then select Find.

- Select the PLT4M App.

- Search and select your desired lesson from PLT4M, then choose Select.

- Be sure to Save your assignment. The assignment will now redirect students into the lesson in PLT4M.

How do my students access their PLT4M accounts?
Once students have been registered in PLT4M via a course launch through Canvas, teachers can instruct students to access PLT4M either through Canvas or by using one of the PLT4M SSO options found on the login page.
